Age pension
According to Article 7 of the Law "On State Pension Provision of Citizens", mainly the right to receive a pension based on age:
- men - when they are 60 years old and have at least 25 years of work experience;
- women - upon reaching the age of 55 and having at least 20 years of work experience.
According to Article 8 of the Law, age-related pensions for persons who do not have enough work experience to be granted a pension (Article 7) are at least 7 if there is a year of work experience, it is appointed in the amount proportional to the work experience (Article 29).
Disability pension
Disability pensions are awarded to persons with group I and II disabilities, as well as persons with group III disabilities due to disability or illness due to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
Survivor's pension
Incapacitated family members under the care of the deceased breadwinner (Article 20) have the right to receive a breadwinner's bereavement pension. In this case, a pension is granted to children and persons specified in paragraph "c" of this article, regardless of whether they are under the care of a guardian or not.
The parents and husband (wife) of the deceased who are not dependent on him, have the right to receive a pension if they later lose the necessary means of living.
The following are family members who are unable to work:
- children, brothers, sisters and grandchildren under the age of 18 or older than 18, if they became a child with a disability before the age of 18. In this case, if the brothers, sisters and grandchildren do not have parents capable of work;
- father, mother, stepfather, stepmother, wife, husband, provided that they are persons who have reached the retirement age referred to in Article 7 or have a disability;
- Regardless of age and working capacity, one of the parents or husband (wife) or grandfather, grandmother, brother or sister, if he is the children, brothers, sisters or grandchildren of the deceased breadwinner, to take care of the child for workers. if he is engaged in childcare and does not work until he reaches the age that gives him the right to be on unpaid leave;
- grandfather and grandmother - if there are no people who are required to support them according to the law.
Pupils and students of educational organizations have the right to receive a survivor's pension during the entire period of study, but before reaching the age of 23.
Minor children who have the right to receive the bereavement pension retain this right even when they are adopted.
Step-son and step-daughter, if they do not receive alimony from their parents, have the right to receive a pension like real children.
Step-father and step-mother, if they have raised or supported the deceased step-son (daughter) for at least 5 years before reaching the age of 18, they have the right to receive a pension like real father and mother. The procedure for determining whether the stepfather and stepmother raised or cared for the deceased stepson (daughter) is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
All the provisions of this Law related to the families of the deceased shall be applied to the families of the missing as well, if the disappearance of the breadwinner has been confirmed in the prescribed manner .
